Researchers at BioGrid Australia member and/or collaborator institutions may submit new or amended applications requesting access to data connected to BioGrid using our online application system.
Authorised researchers can explore and visualise data on specified connected data utilising a web interface.
Authorised researchers can utilise this comprehensive data and statistical analysis application to analyse, explore and visualise connected datasets for approved audit and research projects.
When writing your grant application you may want to consider utilising BioGrid services to facilitate your research. BioGrid can provide data collection tools, data linkage, data analysis and reporting to assist you with your research project.
To ensure that you can utilise the services of BioGrid, we encourage you to include funding for BioGrid in your research grant application. We can provide you with a quotation and description of BioGrid services and benefits to include in your application. Complete the Research Grant Quote Form and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond with a quotation and supporting information within two working days.
To view a range of existing BioGrid datasets (access subject to ethics and data custodian approval), current and prospective partner sites and data collection support services.
If you have a particular requirement not listed, contact us to see how BioGrid can help with your research project.
As a result of your participation in this study, your data may also be used for another study being undertaken at [insert name of participating institution, e.g. your hospital], BioGrid. BioGrid researchers seek to better understand how individuals’ characteristics affect the way in which they respond to a disease and to its various potential treatments, through linking participant information from multiple sources.
Your de-identified research information will be made available for possible use in future research to specialist researchers, from both [insert name of participating institution e.g. your hospital] and other hospitals or research organisations. Access to the data will be subject to appropriate ethics review, is restricted to authorised researchers, with all requests logged and audited. Data may be stored for an indefinite period of time.
Researchers using BioGrid data will only see coded information, which does not identify you. Only the institution at which this study was conducted will have the key from which you can be identified.
If you require further information regarding BioGrid and the storage, use and disclosure of your personal and/or health information as part of that Project, please advise the Principal Researcher, who will provide you with further information, including a copy of “Frequently Asked Questions”, a copy of which is also available at Patient Information.
