Governance
BioGrid is a not-for-profit company owned by the Australian medical research sector. Since its inception in 2003, BioGrid has transitioned from an unincorporated joint venture of collaborative institutions to a not for profit company limited by member guarantee servicing members and collaborators. It was incorporated as a public company, limited by guarantee, in 2009. BioGrid Australia Limited (ABN 31 136 185 647).
How is BioGrid governed?
BioGrid was licensed by the Collaboration Agreement members to operate the existing BioGrid Australia data connectivity platform on behalf of all current members and other parties wishing to work with BioGrid Australia.
Board of directors
The company is governed by an independent board of directors whose main focus is the ongoing financial sustainability of BioGrid.
Member management committee
Each member institution has one full voting representative on the committee.
